For fitness-minded visitors, Marysville City Park also boasts six baseball diamonds, a full basketball court, two tennis courts (one pickleball court), and a walking/bicycling path that connects into the Bridge-to-Bay trail. For kids of all ages, our splash pad is open during warm weather months and the sledding hill is ready after the snow falls. Wi-Fi and electronic charging stations are also available.

Marysville City Park is home to numerous family-oriented events.  The city’s  “Concerts in the Park” series is held Wednesday evenings in the summer at the outdoor amphitheater.  Other annual events include Rumble in the Park/The Past & Its Wheels, Summerfest, and Hot Wheels Weekend.

Our 6 covered pavilions are available to rent. The fee is $40 for city residents; $80 for non-residents. Pavilion fees are only charged from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day and for Saturday, Sunday and holiday rentals only.  Pavilions are free of charge Monday through Friday and are obtained on a first come, first served basis.  Please reserve picnic pavilion in person at Marysville Community Center, 867 E. Chrysler Beach

Chrysler Beach is a popular year-round destination along Marysville’s riverfront.  Our beach is a wonderful spot to cool off during those ‘Dog Days’ of summer.  Bring the kids down to enjoy one of the few sandy beaches along the St. Clair River.

Our gazebo is a prime location for freighter watching – an enjoyable regional pastime.  Pack a sack lunch and spend an hour becoming acquainted with these Great Lake behemoths ranging in length from 600 to more than 1000 feet.   Our gazebo may be reserved for a fee in two-hour time blocks on Friday, Saturday or Sunday for weddings or other special occasions.  The fee is $40/residents and $80/non-residents for the time block.  Otherwise, the gazebo may be used on a first-come, first-served basis.  For more information regarding gazebo reservations, please contact our Recreation Department at (810) 455-1302.

Chrysler Beach also boasts a large grassy expanse perfect for picnics. Canopies may be erected but anchoring stakes are not allowed. Barbecue grills are permitted on site. There is also a concession stand along with playground equipment, restrooms and nearby parking. A fish cleaning station is available for those who wish to catch and eat their meals.

Stormwater drainage improvements have been made to enhance water quality and reduce beach closures during the summer months.  Rain gardens were installed as “green infrastructure” in both parking lots to filter the majority of stormwater runoff.  Vegetation was planted to deter geese congregation.  Funding was provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Great Lakes Restorative Initiative and the City of Marysville.
